True Romance are thrilled to have the opportunity to interview the new and upcoming film stars, Louis Peters and Brianna Ryb. We will draw out the details of their memories and experiences whilst filming the holiday romance. Do not miss out on the interview that will start their rise to fame.

Interview one - Louis Peters

"The truth is I have always dreamed of becoming an actor from a very young age."

What has been your favourite moment whilst filming 'Under the mistletoe?'

It might sound like a cliché but I would say making the family that I have now made. I remember our very first table reading and the entire cast were trying to suspect what would happen next. From then, table reading became our favourite moment on set. The amount of laughs we had during the reading will now be cemented into my mind forever.

What inspired you to go into this industry?

Well since I was six years old I had always loved watching films and wondered what it would be like to star in a movie one day. I loved how the dominant male lead was portrayed and remember thinking that is what I want to do when I am older. I remember trying out for all my school plays and once got casted as Willy Wonka in the play 'Charlie and the chocolate factory.' As soon as my parents realised I was serious they were so supportive and did everything possible to make my dreams come true.

What made you want to audition for 'Under the mistletoe?'

As soon as I received the brief description of this movie, I was captivated. The whole persona of this film intrigued me, especially since Christmas is my favourite holiday. Christmas, to me is such a special time to be with your family and loved ones so the thought of a romance film taking place during Christmas was exactly the type of film I wanted to audition for. I really wanted to portray the warm essence of the holiday and how love can be spread during Christmas.

Interview two - Brianna Ryb

What do you enjoy most about acting?

My favourite thing about acting would definitely be the responses I get from fan members. I especially love reading all the comments and letters I receive stating how the movie has impacted them personally; whether it be in a moving or a joyous way. I adore watching how they fall in love with our characters and the laughs or cries they experience.

Apart from acting, is there anything else you would like to try?

Yes! I would love to model. Ever since I was young I would dress up in my mums clothes and shoes while pretending to be on the runway for my family. I absolutely adore fashion and fashion designers, so hopefully acting could give me many opportunities in the fashion industry; I would hope one of them will be modelling for designs.

Have you made any connections whilst filming the movie, perhaps with your co-star?

As much as I would love to tell you. All I will say now is that on set of a romance movie it is very hard not to fall in the direction of love. Louis Peters is a kind and caring man, who on set cared for me and made me laugh. I could not think of someone else I would cast instead because I feel the connection we brought to the screens was real and special. So yes our friendship grew close. However that is all I will say out of privacy.

Evidence of taking photographs :

My photographs :

Photographs I plan to use :

This photograph will be used on the front cover as I feel it encapsulates what my movie is about; which is their love story. I like how the male model is directing his focus to the camera and how the female model is hugging her love interest.

This photo I plan to use, due to the close up on the kiss which then emphasises a sense of lust and affection; all aspects of a romance movie.

This photo will be included within the magazine as the models are hugging which then initiates their love for each other.

I will use this photo on my front cover as the mini poster which will be available within my magazine. I will paste this photo onto a backdrop of North London full of lights.

This photo has good lighting and focuses on the female model smelling the flowers which is why I want to include it within my double page spread.

This photo has the camera set up from behind the female model which illustrates the notation that she is receiving a gift from her love interest.

These two photos will be used as both of the models are smiling and are keeping eye contact with the camera which will create a connection with the readers.

These two photographs will be used as decorative features within my magazine as one reflects love and the other reflects the Christmas theme.

Photographs I will disregard :

I will not be using this photo as the reflection of the screen is highlighted on the models faces which makes it hard to see their actual faces.

This photo will not be used as the model has a tilted head and this creates an unprofessional look.

The model was not ready for the photo therefore I will not include it within my magazine.

I feel that in this photo the condiments within the fridge stand out more than the actual models and that is why I wont be including it.

Codes and Conventions :

Body language - The body language I directed the models to have was comfortable and affectionate which is why in most of the photos they are either hugging or kissing as it ensures that the 'look of love' will be captured. I immediately thought of what consumers are looking for in romance magazines and that is why I have made sure that the photos emphasise two people falling in love.

Location - Location was not an important decision when shooting the photos as most will be cut out and pasted onto backgrounds that I will create myself. However, the reason behind choosing a house to take the photos at, is because it will highlight that the models are comfortable with each other due to a house being an environment that couples would normally be together at.

Costume - The idea behind the costumes was that I wanted them to dress in warm clothing due to the movie being shot at the time of Christmas; which is the season of winter. I also intended that the models would dress comfortably as it would amplify a natural feel to the magazine, as well as it being more cost effective due to not spending amounts of money on expensive clothing.

Body copy - The body copy was written in an interview format as the questions asked resembled what the movie is about and what memories were made on set. This portrays an insight to readers of how the movie was created and if filming brought the two actors together. This emphasises a romance genre as the questions were revolving around the actors and one of the questions asked was about if a relationship has progressed since the making of the film.
