Feedback Report :
The feedback I will take on board, includes :
One feedback from the client that I found useful and will then improve within my magazine is that my demographic should be older and directed to those within the more mature age range. The target audience I will change my readership to, will be 18-38 as the client stated that this age category appreciate the idea of romance and find it nostalgic; unlike the target audience I previously had which was 12-24. From this constructive feedback, I will now need to consider perhaps adding different content ideas within my magazine to ensure it targets my new demographic. One may be adding Christmas movies, in my 12 movies for 12 days of Christmas advent calendar, that come from the service 'Sky' as adults are very likely to have bought this streaming service already, thus will be able to access these movies that appear within my magazine. I am sure this would attract a wider audience for my magazine as the new content will intrigue the older audience due to the availability it has for the maturer audience.
Another feedback from the client that I will now take on board is that my age rating for the new upcoming independent movie, 'Under the mistletoe,' should be 12A and not 12+ due to the limitation I will then have in the movie as certain age ratings do not allow certain content. Changing it into 12A would mean that a parent guardian would need to be with a child while watching the movie. However, I feel that I should change my movie rating to 15+ as certain scenes within the movie wouldn't be acceptable to those who are categorised as children; for example sexual scenes that will be involved within the movie. As my target audience is now older the movie can explore more options that can be expressed within the notation of love and romance; like physical behaviour.
I also received positive feedback from the client, that I will make sure I continue to include within my final magazine project. The client liked my colour scheme and fonts as they found them 'clean and interesting,' as well as conforming to the romance genre and Christmas theme. This illustrates that my choices for the magazines colour scheme and fonts are good ideas and I should ensure that they are the exact fonts and colours that I use for my magazine; as they all will attract my readership and stand out.
The feedback I will not take on board, includes :
One feedback I received that I will not take on board, is an idea that the client came up with for my magazine. The client suggested a content idea that focused on psychological ideas that are connected to movies. This would mean I create a list of movies perfect for different feelings or moods. For example, what movie to watch when you are happy or sad. The reason behind why I will not take on this content idea is because the notation does not correspond to my romance genre. I also feel that my original content ideas I have previously thought of are stronger than this new idea; I feel my ideas capture the Christmas edition magazine.
